Work Holiday Pass (Under Work and Holiday Visa Programme)

The Work and Holiday Visa Programme allows eligible young people from Australia and New Zealand to live, work and travel in Singapore for a longer period compared to the standard Work Holiday Programme.

This programme strengthens bilateral ties and encourages cultural exchange between Singapore and these countries.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Work Holiday Pass under the Work and Holiday Visa Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Nationality

Applicants must be citizens of Australia or New Zealand.

Age Requirement

Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of application.

Education Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• Hold a recognised university degree, or

• Have completed at least two years of full-time undergraduate study at an university.

Employment Conditions

Work Holiday Pass holders under this programme must follow these conditions:

What You Can Do

• Work for companies registered with ACRA

• Work for organisations registered with the Registry of Societies (ROS)

• Work in regulated professions if licensing requirements are met

Restrictions

You cannot:

• Work as a freelancer

• Work for the same employer for more than 6 months

• Study or undergo training beyond the allowed duration

Appeal Against a Rejected Application

If your application is rejected, you may submit an appeal to MOM with additional documentation explaining the eligibility criteria or correcting any missing information.

Cancelling a Work Holiday Pass

Your Work Holiday Pass should be cancelled if:

• You leave Singapore permanently

• You switch to another work pass

• Your pass expires and you no longer require it

Replacing a Lost Work Holiday Pass Card

If your pass card is lost, stolen or damaged:

1. Report the incident immediately

2. Submit a replacement request via MOM

3. Pay the replacement fee

4. Collect the new card after processing

Step 4: Inform us that the form has been completed and make payment. Please note that we will only process the Work Holiday Pass (Under Work and Holiday Visa Programme) application after we have received payment.

Once the application is approved (in-principle approval), you can travel to Singapore.
